Muslim Commercial Bank Ltd., Australasia Bank Ltd. and Standard Bank Ltd merged themselves to form Rupali Bank Limited in East Pakistan before 1971 liberation war. Then in 1972 Rupali Bank Limited became nationalized bank with all assets, benefits, rights, powers, authorities, privileges, liabilities, borrowings and obligations. Rupali Bank Limited worked as a nationalized commercial bank till December13, 1986, after that It became Public Limited Company of Bangladesh on December 14, 1986.
